Rev. Rizi,

You are a blessing, an instrument of God, a prophet, a true proclaimer of Scripture!

I caught your BlogTalkRadio interview about what the Bible REALLY says about homosexuality and was cheering you on the whole way!

At the present time, the denomination in which I was baptized and raised, ordained and have served, and continue to be a member (though not, currently, a practicing pastor) -- the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) -- is split pretty much down the middle after its National Assembly acted to open the doors to blessing homosexual unions and allowing for the ordination of people in committed, lifelong, same-sex relationships. I am confident it was the Godly thing to do.

Almost all of my seminary professors who know the Bible inside-out in its original languages teach as you do. I don't believe that many fundamentalist Christians delve so deeply into the study of Scripture in its larger context, including the original times, places, and cultures in which the words were transmitted among people and written down. Lutherans have long held to a tradition of STUDYING Scripture. I am so delighted to see that others -- such as you! -- find value in such deep and honest study as well.

God bless you and your ministry!

WOW what a wonderful,wonderful website.
Gosh after you read about all the people that are STILL going thru the heartache of bigots right in their OWN family,I have to think back to my younger days of when I went thru the same thing..B/C I dont TOLERATE their hate anymore,I push back ALOT! Its so sad to think that some young person just might beleive one day that JESUS doesnt love them,if you think about it...can you imagine what the person will ACTUALLY go thru that convinced someone else that JESUS doesnt love them? I pity them. They are putting themselves in a sad sad situation.
I have no patience with bigotry, and trust me ,its all around me in Birmingham,AL...BUT youd be surprised when you have full confidence and show that you WILL NOT apologize or act like you are second class citizen, how ordinary citizens respond to you...I hope that millions of young gay Americans see what a beautiful and encouraging website you have.
God Bless

I'm feeling really bad about the way my sister and her husband (preacher) treated my partner and I on Halloween. He stated that homosexuals are sinners and that he wants nothing do with us. My sister has followed his believs that we will go to hell and that the bible is there road map and that they go by it 150 %. I feel I have lost my sister and dont care about him but I am her blood. I am very happy in my relationship and have all faith in the loard. But I do know that god loves me for who I am.Like it says in John3:16 God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, that WHOEVER believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. Nowhere in that verse is there a caveat against homosexuals. I just needed to vent and I have been doing some studing about the bible on my own. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am going to tell all my friends about your wonderful music here in Palm Springs California.

I wish you could come to this area because I would LOVE to give a big hug.

Once again, thank you for all your kind words in your music.

You are truly blessed!! I listened to all of your songs and read your bio, and I have to say that it answered a lot of unanswered questions about myself. And that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Don't ever change because I am not going to change for no one. I am a Christian and I love everything there is about God, but I don't like how people who try to use that as a weapon against people that they can't understand. The message makes me a lot stronger, keep on spreading the word of the Lord and let your blessings continue to come unto you!! Be blessed!!

Thank you for the information. I am often left out of the loop in Montana. People often have the see no evil say no evil speak no evil mentality, which leaves us out of the loop, news reported isn't of things that don't concern the paper. I have also struggled with coming out for 35 years. I thought I couldn't be a healthy mom and a lesbian. Because of my weird family values that were told to be christian. I am so glad I can truly be me so I can best teach them.

Thank you. Sometimes I think I am stronger than I am, then for a while I don't feel the courage to explain to people that the girl friend I am telling them about is really My Girlfriend (in my language misunderstanding can happen easily since you'd use the exact same word) Coming across your site has encouraged me today.

Reading the other posts here and the other things on your site brought tears to my eyes. I realised how blessed I am for living in a country where marriage is a civil right for everyone and the government is taking active steps to help GLBT people integrate in society more and more - yet also in my leading country a lot still needs to be done regarding full acceptation and respect within the community. Today you have encouraged me to take up that struggle once again - I will pray and listen to God what part he has for me to play in this process.

I am being reminded of my childhood, when I went to a multi-cultural school and sometimes someone who was not in my school would ask how many 'whites' were in my class - I wouldn't be able to tell without thinking hard, since groing up in this environment had made me 'colourblind'. I am saying this to say that I am cherishing the same dream for equality for straight and GBLT people and I dare believe that that day will come for all of us and for the next generations.

Let us not give up!

Thanks again :)
